Hey Ruby - thanks for looking after the place… we’ve left you some snacks and $ in the snake tray… and the pool is ready!!!

Everything ia pretty much the same as before. if you have any issues with tech like lights etc just call. The guest room is made up (just remember about the fan and no wet towels on the hook in the guest bathroom - see Guest Bathroom).

We’ll be back on Tuesday!

House

The Crew

 

Feeding.
Just feed them once in the morning and then once again at around 4pm.. (Don’t worry.. they’ll remind you).
Osky has a tin, Bombi a half.

 

Siri + HomePods

Here are some prompts...

  • Hey Siri, chill. Nice for the evenings. Turns on mood lighting throughout the house and the garden and the front door light (also turns the bar on.. 🍸 🙌 ).

  • Hey Siri, I’m going to bed. Turns off all the smart lights and lights up ensuite.

  • Hey Siri, goodnight. Turns off the heater and the remaining lights in the ensuite.

You can also use Siri to turn on/off the heater, play your fave music etc. to play music throughout the house just say Hey Siri, play this everywhere. Not all lights are smart btw.

Studio (front room)

It’s prob best to keep the door closed but there’s a plant in here... if you could please water maybe once a week. There’s also design magazines and books if you’re interested.. we think you’d like World of Interiors!

Guest Bathroom

  • There’s a towel hook on the wall. We don’t hang wet towels on this as it can damage the wallpaper.

  • Please use the fan if using this shower (again wallpaper and moisture aren’t friends).

  • There’s spare toilet paper on the shelves near the window and towels below.

  • There’s blinds on the window for privacy!

Sitting Room

  • Apple TV: Remotes are in the box on the coffee table.
    You need to use the Samsung remote to turn TV off (boring).
    Sometimes the TV screen will go blank, just wait and it should reload.. if it doesn’t just use any remote to resume (again.. boring). Homepods should automatically connect for great surround sound.. if they don’t just choose Living room speakers using the Airplay menu (hold the home button  and select the Airplay icon).
    If you turn on the TV and sound is coming from all the speakers in the house it just means you were previously playing music everywhere and they still selected.. just use Airplay to deselect everything but the Living room Speakers

  • Please water plants once a week.

Kitchen

  • Dish-drawers: We find medium wash cycle is the best. Just drop a tablet in the little tray in the utensil basket. If you need to pause mid-cycle just tap twice on the drawer front and wait for the beeps to finish - it’s then safe to open the drawer.

  • Dish tablets are in the drawer under the kitchen sink.

  • Fridge: You’ll hear a little noise every now and then.. it’s just the fridge dropping an ice cube present into the freezer drawer.. help yourself!

  • General waste / Compost / Recycling are all in the top island drawer on the left side.

  • Please water plants once a week.

Dining Room

  • Modem and tech are in the cabinet (if tech is playing up and you need to reboot).

  • Wifi password is Oscar3coco.

  • Central heating controls are on the wall next to fireplace (easy to use).

  • Sonos Speaker: This speaker on the Homepod network or you can Airplay directly from your iPhone.

  • Bar: Feel free to make a cocktail nightcap... You know where the ice is.

Larder / Laundry

  • Coffee machine - Beans are loaded.. help yourself!

  • Washing machine - laundry liquid on the shelf to the left .

  • Dryer - if the dryer stops it’s either the slide out water tank is full or the lint catcher need emptying - (open the front door to access lint tray).

  • Glass recycling goes into the laundry drawer beneath the sink.

  • Microwave - this unit is also an air-fryer and convection oven - It’s a bit tricky to know which tray is for the correct setting.. instruction manual is on the shelve beneath. If you want to use air-fryer or convection make sure you pull the unit out as the unit isn’t meant to used in an enclosed space (the shelf is on runners). Or if this is too much messing around just use it on microwave setting.

  • Vacuum cleaner is fully charged behind the inner door.

  • Iron is in the cupboard next to the washing machine. Just plug it in and turn the timer to use.

Outside

  • Keep an eye on the Bonsai. If we don’t get any rain please make sure the pot isn’t dry.

  • Glass house: Please water once a week. The carnivorous plants trays should be full of water.

  • Compost pile for the compost bin or just throw it in the green Fogo bin if you prefer.

  • Can you please water pots if we don’t get any rain.
